从前有个小姑娘，长得非常漂亮，谁见了都会立刻喜欢上她。有一次小姑娘过生日，奶奶送给她一顶天鹅绒做的小红帽，她截在头上特别合适，从此大家便叫她小红帽。
有一天妈妈对她说：“小红帽，奶奶病了，你去给她送一些蛋糕和一瓶葡萄酒，路上要当心，不要跑，千万别离开大路咯，摔了跟头，奶奶就吃不着好的东西了。最重要的是如果碰上坏人不要害怕，要动脑筋保护好自己，知道了吗？”
“知道了妈妈。”小红帽说。
奶奶住在村子外面的森林里，离小红帽家有很长一段路。小红帽上路了，路边的花开得多么美丽呀！还有那些小鸟，它们唱得多么动听啊！树林里的一切是多么的美妙！小红帽一边走着，一边欣赏着这美丽的风景，突然碰见了一只大灰狼。
大灰狼问小红帽，“漂亮的小姑娘，请问你到哪里去？”
小红帽一看大灰狼那副贼头贼脑的样子，就知道它没安好心。她想：“要是现在拆穿他，他有可能会立马把我吃掉，我先稳住他再说。”
小红帽说：“我要去奶奶家，奶奶病了，我去给她送蛋糕和葡萄酒，好让她吃了以后恢复得快一些。”
“小红帽，你奶奶住在哪里呀？”大灰狼又问。
"My grandmother lives in the forest, by the way, where are you going?" Little Red Riding Hood asked.
The Big Bad Wolf thought to himself when he heard the question, "When I get to Little Red Riding Hood's grandmother's house, I need to come up with a plan to eat both of them. I haven't had such a delicious meal in a long time."
He replied, "I am also going to my grandmother's house, which is also in the forest."
Little Red Riding Hood saw that the Big Bad Wolf was following her and thought to herself, "I need to come up with a plan to deal with the Big Bad Wolf."
Little Red Riding Hood said, "Why didn't you bring anything with you to your grandmother's house? You should pick some mushrooms for her to eat."
The Big Bad Wolf, in order to not reveal his true intentions, said, "Then I'll go pick some mushrooms first."
While the Big Bad Wolf was picking mushrooms, Little Red Riding Hood quickly ran away. She ran faster and faster, getting farther and farther away from the Big Bad Wolf. As she ran, Little Red Riding Hood saw a shovel by the roadside. She picked up the shovel and dug a hole, covering it with fallen leaves. Then, she continued running forward.
在路上她遇到了一个猎人，她告诉猎人，后面有只巨大的灰色狼在紧追着她。猎人和她一同返回，希望能够捉住那只大灰狼，当他们接近那个坑的时候，听到了坑里传来的呼救声，原来是大灰狼掉了进去。猎人一枪将大灰狼射杀。整个过程中，猎人一直称赞小红帽，称她是一个聪明、勇敢和机智的好孩子。
