重耳和介子推的英文传奇冒险

In the English legend of Chong'er and Jie Zitui, Chong'er, the rightful heir to the throne, is forced into exile after a coup. His loyal follower, Jie Zitui, remains steadfastly by his side through numerous hardships, including periods of extreme starvation. During one particularly dire famine, when Chong'er and his men have nothing to eat, Jie Zitui goes into the mountains and returns with a basin of wild菜 (wild vegetables), which they share with Chong'er. Unbeknownst to Chong'er, Jie Zitui had secretly eaten the internal organs of a newly killed lamb to sustain himself, leaving only the inedible parts for his master. Later, when Chong'er is restored to the throne, he seeks out Jie Zitui to reward his loyalty. However, Jie Zitui, fearing that his master might take the organs as a sign of disrespect, secretly hides and burns himself to death under a tree, leaving behind a poignant message: "If the skin is remembered, forget the organs; if the organs are remembered, forget the skin." This tragic act becomes a symbol of ultimate loyalty and self-sacrifice in Chinese culture.
